Dr. Lori W. Wyatt, DVM, CCRP, DABVP
DVM, CCRP, DABVP
Dr. Wyatt has practiced veterinary medicine for over 26 years after graduating from the Tuskegee School of Veterinary Medicine in 1990 as a member of the prestigious Phi Zeta Honor Society for male and female veterinarians. She moved to Illinois in 1991 after her small animal medicine and surgery internship at Purdue University. After 5 combined years of practice at the DuPage Animal Hospital in Villa Park and the Country Court Animal Hospital in Buffalo Grove, she founded The Animal Doctor hospital in Cary in 1996. Seeking to contribute to the career and/or retirement goals of other veterinarians who wished to sell the great practices that they owned, she acquired the Sycamore Animal Hospital in 2013 and the Animal Medical Center of Crystal Lake in 2015.
Dr. Wyatt enjoys soft-tissue surgery, is an accomplished orthopedic surgeon, and has always been delighted to teach while continually expanding her own expertise in veterinary medicine. In her spare time, she enjoys gourmet cooking, interior decorating, painting, music, bible study, singing with her church choir, and walking her dog, Kaleb. She also enjoys spending time with her husband (Karl), her daughter (Karla), and with her extended family in Kentucky, Ohio, and Maryland.
Dr. Tammy Garr, DVM, CVA
DVM, CVA
Dr. Garr has been practicing veterinary medicine at The Animal Doctor since August 2000. She completed animal acupuncture coursework at the Chi Institute in Reddick, Florida, and is certified in veterinary acupuncture. She has a special interest in integrative veterinary medicine by combining traditional and herbal medicines along with acupuncture. She grew up in Rockford, Illinois, and received her bachelor’s in animal science in 1996 and her veterinary degree from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2000. Her primary focus is canine and feline medicine, but Dr. Garr also sees some exotic animal patients. She currently resides in Woodstock. She enjoys live music, travel, reading, and spending time with friends and family in Chicago and Rockford.

Alicia
Alicia has worked for Animal Medical Center for over 20 years! She loves working with all of our fuzzy patients and working behind the scenes to keep things running! In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and pets outdoors!
Terri
Vet Staff
Terri joined Animal Medical Center in 2014 as a Customer Care Representative. She enjoys the relationships she has built with our clients and their pets throughout the year. She is an advocate for rescue animals, fostering dogs for a local shelter when she is able and has 3 beautiful rescue dogs of her own. When she’s not working, Terri enjoys spending time with her family, friends and fur babies. In her free time she participates in 5k’s and travels.
Karen
Karen has been with Animal Medical Center for over 6 years! She enjoys assisting the doctors and meeting new patients! In her free time she enjoys walking her two collies Bella and Quinn, doing pilates/yoga, and cardio workouts as well as bike riding!
Lisbeth
Vet Staff
Lisbeth joined Animal Medical Center in June of 2021. She came to us with seven years of experience in other animal hospitals. She is a native of Crystal Lake and has 1 dog (Theo), 3 cats (Wrigley, Buddha, Latte), and 1 horse (Nevaeh). In her spare time, she enjoys being at the barn riding her horse and spending time with her family. Her love for animals shows through her work and helps out any animal in need!
Ismael (Izzy)

Izzy moved from Mexico to Crystal Lake in 2001 and started at Animal Medical Center in 2019. He has been working as a technician for a long time and is known as the “Cat Whisperer” and couldn’t enjoy it more! In his free time, he likes to spend time with his cats, Jinora and Babit, and his family.
Kim

Kim started at Animal Medical Center in June of 2022. She has a passion for animals and feels blessed to be able to work with them daily! In her free time, Kim enjoys all things Disney, spending time with her family, and loving on her cat named Disney!
Aisling

Aisling started at Animal Medical Center in December of 2022 with eight years experience in veterinary medicine already! She enjoys helping our pets and clients live their best lives together! In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children and their puppy Dutches!
Hannah
Vet Staff
Hannah joined us at Animal Medical Center in January of 2024. She works as a veterinary assistant and helps up front with reception as well! Her favorite part of the job is caring for the animals and curating relationships with their owners. IN her spare time she loves teaching dance, weightlifting, and spending time wither friends, family, and her dog Oakley!
Stacy

Stacy started with us in July of 2023. She comes to us with a passion of working with animals – so much so she made a career out of it! In her free time she loves to spend time outdoors and volunteer at a local cat rescue.
